How to create a new company


Start a new QuickBooks desktop company file from scratch

If you are creating a new company file and have already saved another company file on your computer, be sure to use a unique name for the new company file. If you use the same name for the new company file, then this existing company will override the file and the data will be lost in the existing file.

Start express

1.Open QuickBook Desktop

2.On the No Company Open window, click Create a new company

3. Click on Express Start

4.Fill in the required information in the QuickBooks Setup window Quick Tip: To see the details for each business type and to select the preset chart of accounts for QuickBooks for you, per industry.

5.Click Create Company

6.After creating your company file, you can start making a chart of your customers, accounts and services, or you can choose by selecting later.

Wide start

1.Open QuickBook Desktop

2.On the No Company Open window, click Create a new company

3.Click Detailed Start

4.Fill the easy-phase interview screen and click Next.

5.Choose your industry and click next

6.Identify your business type and click next

7.Set your financial year and click next

8.Set up your QuickBooks Administrator password and click Next.

9.Select the location where you want to save your company file and click save.

10.After saying your company file, you can customize your quickbook by clicking next, or you can select it later and leave it.
